I’m Olga Khmyz, a fashion and beauty retoucher with more than 15 years of experience in image-making and professional post-production.
I work across editorial, commercial and campaign projects, with a focus on natural skin, accurate color, image quality and visual consistency. My background in photography gave me a practical understanding of light, composition and how people appear in front of the camera. Graphic design added another layer to the way I see balance, color and relationships within an image.
When I work on a photograph, I try to understand its direction before changing anything. I pay attention to what already works, what actually needs correction, and how far the retouching should go. The goal is a refined image that still feels believable and keeps its original character.
My work has appeared in publications including Vogue, Numéro, Forbes, Rolling Stone and WWD, alongside commercial and editorial projects for international photographers and creative teams. Some projects remain private under NDA.
After many years in retouching, I’m increasingly interested not only in how an image is finished, but in the decisions behind that finish - consistency across a series, visual balance, and the small choices that shape the final result.
